How to make bacon vodka (secret santa gift)

So with less than a week to find the perfect secret santa gift for one of my friends who is a lover of bacon and alcohol, I found the perfect recipe for Bacon Vodka! Now, everyone has heard of skittle vodka so its not so original anymore, but bacon vodka? Hardly anyone has heard of that! Here's the recipe I'll be following from this instructable.

What you'll need:
BACON - roughly 12 rashers for a one litre bottle of vodka (I'll be making a smaller amount)
VODKA - 1 litre (if using less, reduce the quantity of bacon)LIDDED CONTAINER
COFFEE FILTERS

Method:

  1. Pour the vodka into the lidded container (or leave in the bottle) and cook the bacon to your liking.
  2. Add the cooked bacon to your bottle of vodka and leave for 4/5 days to infuse at room temperature.
  3. Use a colander to filter the big pieces of bacon from the vodka and then place in the freezer. The vodka will not freeze but the excess fat will, so it is easier to remove.
  4. To remove the excess fat and oils, strain the vodka through a coffee filter. The oils will not pass through and so will clog up the filter, so you may need a few of these.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4, the more times the vodka is filtered the less oily the Bacon Vodka will be. 3 times is recommended.
  6. Check out these Bacon Vodka recipes and enjoy!
